Schwarz Financial Services LLC, formerly Income Tax Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and formerly Schwarz Financial Concepts, started preparing individual income tax returns at the homes of its clients, using ASL communication, in 1971. In 1985, this firm became a full-fledged financial planning advisory firm located in Silver Spring, Maryland. The firm’s founder, Louis J. Schwarz, QFP, CFP®, RFC®, is a financial advisor who was, according to Whos Who in Finance and Industry, the first Deaf financial professional to offer financial services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. For over 30 years, Mr. Schwarz is well known through his community contributions - which are well documented, articles in various deaf community publications and as an adjunct professor at Gallaudet University. To meet the growing demand for services, Joshua R. Beal joined Schwarz Financial Services LLC after working at The World Bank Group in Washington, D.C. He graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a B.A. in Economics. In April 2006, he joined Royal Alliance Associates, Inc. as a registered representative.
