Close Investments manages assets of £3.1 billion (as at 31 January 2007). In February 2007 Close Investments acquired AON Asset Managements’ Multi-Manager division now known as Close Multi-Manager. This has now been merged with Close TEAMs to become the specialist Multi-Manager division of Close Investments Limited. Close Multi-Manager Limited and Close Investments Limited are members of the Close Investments Group. Both companies use the trading name Close Investments. The other members of the Close Investment Group are Close TEAMs Limited and Fortune Asset Management Limited. Close Investments Limited is a subsidiary of Close Brothers Group plc. Close Brothers Group plc is an independent investment banking group which was founded in the City of London in 1878 and is listed on the London Stock Exchange. The Group employs circa 2,500 staff and manages assets of £8.9 billion (as at 31 January 2007). Its main activities comprise asset management, corporate finance, market making and banking, including asset finance. The Group has established a strong reputation for independence and integrity. Its growth is largely attributable to an entrepreneurial but conservative approach and it has achieved market leadership in several special areas.
