Madelyn has been an investment consultant for twenty-three years and a Certified Financial Planner™ during the last fourteen. Her work as Assistant Professor and Director of Financial Planning Programs at Golden Gate University brings a highly sophisticated level of financial planning and investment management expertise to our clients. Prior to founding Catalyst, Ms. Mallory served as a stockbroker at Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley) and established the north pacific investment advisory practice for the accounting firm, KPMG/Peat Marwick. Madelyn has been an instructor and member of the advisory board for the certificate programs in Finance and Personal Financial Planning at U.C. Berkeley. She has a B. S. (with honors) in Political Economy of Natural Resources from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA in Finance from Golden Gate University. She is a trustee of Golden Gate University, has been a member of the board of directors of the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco and is a founding member of Environmental Entrepreneurs, a group of Silicon Valley business owners and entrepreneurs focused on environmental issues.
