XPLAN TECHNOLOGY is an independent software company dedicated to providing financial planning professionals with leading-edge enterprise solutions to professionally and efficiently meet the needs of their clients. XPLAN TECHNOLOGY was founded by Jason Hoang and Andrew Walsh in January of 2001. Jason previously worked as a Financial Planner at William M Mercer and Civic Financial Planning. Most recently, he was National Marketing and Training Manager at Vision FPS. Andrew worked as an Actuarial Consultant with William M Mercer (Risk Finance and Insurance), building and auditing sophisticated cashflow models. Following this, he managed ongoing software development as Actuarial Development Manager at Vision FPS. Each identified the requirement by growing financial service distribution arms, for an independant technology solution offering a centralised datastore while maintaining autonomy over client data. They set about to build a team to offer exactly that.
