Lakefront Futures and Options,Limited liability Company in Active Trader Links Directory

Lakefront has always measured its success by the hard work and service dedicated to our clientele and their resulting satisfaction. A solid broker-customer relationship is key to successful trading and is built through a mutual trust and respect. This is the foundation upon which we have built our company. In early February of 1997, we came to the conclusion that there was a better way to do business in the futures industry. After spending 12 years working in virtually every facet of the futures market, both on and off the floor, the principles of Lakefront, Nick Leblebijian and Jon Marcus, opened a commodities brokerage firm in Chicago. The firm was founded upon one major idea: customers were separate individuals who not only wanted individual attention-they deserved individual attention. It didnt matter if they were considered a “discount” customer or a “full service” customer--if they needed something, the brokers job was to handle that order as if it were his or her own. This concept would be a major departure from how we had seen things done at some of the other firms we had been with earlier in our careers. It would also be the foundation of our business. We decided that the futures industry needed a firm that could be large enough to cater to the largest customer yet approachable enough whereas even the smallest customer could get an answer about his or her statement by simply calling and asking-not by waiting three days for an answer. The futures industry needed a firm that, in the shadow of the electronic era of trading, was able to handle the influx of orders with the latest technology, yet remember the fact that not everyone wanted to trade this way and some preferred a traditional “customer-broker” order placement system. The futures industry had to have a firm that remembered the most important part of the business: customers are people, not account numbers. These were ideas that were crucial to any firms success.
